Jamie’s Pheasant Stew wins our ‘dish the month’ for October. At this time of year there are a lot of game birds coming home at the weekend and with so many choices of what to do with them it can get confusing which way to cook your bird.

Nothing is more satisfying than this Pheasant Stew we tried this month as the dark evenings draw in, the first bites of frost are in the air and we begin to crave a bit of comfort food.
